My young friend bless her heart, set me up on a blind date.
It was a failure.
He was 50 something, very grey hair, a tad short, and he was an extremely ultra conservative cop.
This is not the first time that I have not found success with the process of a blind date.
The previous blind date that was arranged on my behalf was with a guy that had a gold tooth along with the many tats marking his days he spent while in prison.
So I gotta wonder....do I see myself differently than others see me?
It must be so, because we have never come close to my dream date. That being said, I have decided to do something about this situation. I am going to make this list of what I am looking for, and then whenever someone wants to set me up, I will refer them to this post.
Here goes;
1. Must be a dog lover.
2. Must be in above average physical condition and if not have a great personality that compensates for this shortfall.
3. Must have money...I have done it for love too many times...not anymore...show me the money!
4. Must be somewhat dashing and debonair.
6. Must not have have been divorced more than once.
7. Must not talk excessively about any ex wife or ex girlfriend.
8. Must not be a couch potato.
9. Must be able to have good sex or at least know how to cuddle with above average skills.
10. Must have a great sense of humor.
Those are my top ten wishes....and not necessarily in that order. So if anyone reading this blog knows of a single man between the ages of 42 and 52, that resembles the qualities on this list...

Nope, don't know anybody. The only single guys in that age range would be my brothers - one in New Jersey and one in Seattle. But, no, they wouldn't meet several of the things on your list. Starting with - both have been divorced twice! :)
It's tough finding that right person and if I ever find myself in a position where I am unattached again - I won't be looking. Ya just have to kiss too many frogs.
Wish YOU luck though!
I know...kissing frogs, how true it is.....
Great list! How about online dating? You could actually POST your list on your profile!
Lady Banana and Nutmeg...
I have tried the online thing....and it does not work. People have a tendency to misrepresent themselfs!
Anyway...its mostly my friends who are concerned about my single status...I think I don't have the proper hormones anymore...because I am actually pretty content with just me and my dog family!
I know, sounds weird, but I was married for 22 years...so at this point I am enjoying living alone, which has only been for the past 5 years.
HA! I'll let you know when I see the *second* guy that fits your description. I'm gonna snag the first one! ;)
Therese,
That comment gave me a good chuckle...I know, they are far and few in between. I would take half of the qualities on the list, I would even forsake the money, if I could find just one good one...
Then again, I;m not doing much to get one...The grass always sounds greener on the other side.
