I Was There

I was there when it happened....I worked harder than any man in the company, but I was paid less.

I performed the job of COO for one of the largest independent telecommunications during the late 90's and early 2000's....but I never got the official title.

I was called a bitch, I was said to be hard to get along with, I was told I had a reputation....and I was the "go to guy" for every important project that came along....

I was just reading an article about two yahoo's who were chanting "Iron My Shirt" during one of Hillary Clinton's rallies...

Sadly, sexism is alive and well....

From two fellow woman bloggers, I read that they wanted a woman for president but not THAT woman.

Trust me when I tell you, know matter WHAT woman it is, she will come along with the reputation of being a Bitch....

That's what men and the establishment do....and that's a fact.

I think this blogger says it better than me; read Erica Jong Tears-Fears.

Yep, that pisses me off. I was furious when I heard about that "iron my shirt" crap. And I don't think it has a thing to do with her politics or her political party. It was complete sexism.

Erica Jong is SO cool. Fantastic writer. Even her sexy books from the 70s and 80s.

So wait...were you a telco COO? Did I read that right?

Oh, it's really disgusting... Sometimes, it seems that these survivals of times past will never leave us. Sexism! Awful!

I would like to see the criticism of the candidates remain about the issues. Targeting gender or looks or their personal lives just go over with me.

Hey LC,

I worked for a company called WorldxChange...gave it my life...then I had a midlife crisis and quit, along with all the workplace problems just got to me.

I agree with BJ, lets listen to the issues...and lets leave out the personal aspects. Its gotten so bad, its depressing, or at least I feel depressed...its this cold.

I can relate. Sometimes I think I might be in a mid life crisis myself.

I hope you feel better soon, about that cold, I mean.

I get very depressed with politics lately. I can barely stand to watch the news. It's all such horrrible games and name-calling :-(
